Jamaican born physician who studied at King's College University of London. In 1919 he received his Doctor of Medicine degree finishing top of his class at the age of 28. Despite all his achievements, Moody was refused employment because of the colour of his skin. Underrated, he started his own medical practice in Peckham, an area in south-east London. he campaigned against racial prejudice to establish the League of Coloured Peoples.
