BBC Civilisations Festival promo featuring David Olusoga

As part of the BBC Civilisations Festival, we are displaying the famous Meroë Head of Augustus, on loan from the British Museum.
This remarkable object was excavated by the University of Liverpool’s Professor John Garstang in 1910 and this exhibition is the first time it has been displayed in Liverpool since its discovery.

'John Garstang and the Meroë Head of Augustus' will be on display at the VG&M from 3 March 2018- 30 June 2018.
