Correction: 60% of EU immigrants are not taking benefits. The United College London's Centre for Research and Migration found that A8 nationals were about 60% LESS LIKELY than British Citizens to get benefits or social housing, One Study by the Department of Work & Pensions says that "fewer than 10 applicants from EU nationals from Eastern and Central Europe (A8) was successful"

Where is the economic patriotism? Last I heard, Scotland Yard had been sold off to Abu Dhabi for £370million, plus 50% of other large UK corporations have been sold off to foreign investors who are not investing in the UK economy at the cost of a lot of closures and job losses and yet immigrants are being blamed for taking the jobs that were lost in the sell-offs.

Disclaimer:
I don't claim to be an authority on the subjects I speak on, I comment on news and take a critical standpoint, with a view to raising awareness and/or provide food for thought, which is mainly for entertainment purpose. I give my opinion, especially where I feel that a subject could be taken for granted, but it is only my opinion. Information I comment, tends to be organic, and changes depending on circumstances, the time of recording, and the individuals' I talk abouts experiences.

I am a Counsellor who offers support to those who are concerned about issues that are adversely affecting their wellbeing . I do not offer specialist advice, e.g. on immigration, but I am able to signpost you to experts in your field of choice.

Whatever I talk on, needs to be researched, so don't take my word for it - I like to talk about things that are happening or have happened (but which may still have relevance in the current climate), with a view to looking at both sides of a particular story - so not all 'news' is 'new' news, but if I have provided food for thought, I consider it a job well done!

I tend to speak on topics and share viewpoints from a black-centred perspective, accepting that many will not share my point of view, regardless of race.

About Blackbright News:
The first issue of Blackbright News was published in 2005. Since then 58 issues have been published via www.issuu.com/blackbrightnews, and only a few have been printed in hard copy.

I am also a radio DJ/presenter who broadcasts on a Friday afternoon on www.loversrockradio.com 7pm-9pm (GMT), which is a reggae programme, where I give my point of view on the tracks I play, occasionally. and sometimes what is in the media.

Blackbright News is a philanthropic publication that can be found at www.issuu.com/blackbrightnews, and online versions can be read FREE OF CHARGE.

The Managing Editor has decided to represent the publication through videos, as she is able to address topics of concern, organically, but still produces the electronic versions periodically.

The Editor would be pleased to receive any donations to print hard copies of the publication - please email blackbrightews@gmail.com, and any contributions would be appreciated and can be processed through PayPal.
