If you forgot what you put on your application, years ago - what can you do?
Under 'Blackbright News', which is the name of my magazine (see below), I consider myself an interpreter or translator of complex information. I uncomplicate what is complicated to the average person and share information so that anyone with concerns about immigration, deportation or detention, will have a rough idea what to expect, and how certain laws may affect them.
I realised when it was brought to public attention that over 60 Jamaicans were deported in February 2019; when a desperate wife paid £22,000 to a lawyer to prevent her husband's deportation (and he still got deported), and how family members of the Windrush Generation are still in limbo, how little, so many, knew about their stay and their rights in the UK and I decided to step in, using a user-friendly formula, that I felt could be easily understood.

I welcome topics, but please bear in mind I am not a specialist in immigration, I am an individual trying to translate complicated legislation in a way that is easy to understand, but in doing this, I can misinterpret legislation, so please seek expert/professional advice.
If you use a lawyer from social networks, ensure they are registered with the Office of Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC), because they regulate immigration advisers, and make sure they meet certain standards.
Thank you.
My videos are designed to help those who feel disadvantaged through language, education or lack of information. They are particularly targeted at those who have difficulty understanding their rights, complex rules and regulations and feel vulnerable and criminalised because of it.
If you have any concerns or questions please send me an email, and I will research the information for you as best as I can. The address is below.
I would also like to update you, as and when amendments come about, because I find that this is a hidden minefield, but remember, I am not an authority.
Disclaimer:
With the increase of questions I am being asked, it is important that you realise that the information I give is general in nature and does not constitute legal advice, as not all the facts are known – it is mainly for entertainment purposes, so you should retain an attorney/lawyer/solicitor to review all the facts specific to your case in order to receive advice specific to your case. The information I share, does not create a Professional Expert/client relationship.
Blackbright News was founded in 2005. It forms part of a philanthropic publication that comes out periodically, and is free to read online at www.issuu.com/blackbrightnews. Hard copies of the publication are expensive to print, so I would appreciate any donations via PayPal to blackbrightnews@gmail.com so that I can bring out hard copies and distribute them free of charge, and also to support what I am doing.
On a lighter note, if you like reggae music, I am a Radio DJ on http://www.loversrockradio.com and I am on air, every Friday evening between 7pm - 9pm (GMT). If you would like me to sponsor me, please let me know. ladyloy@googlemail.com
